I generally have a problem with alot of hip hop music due to the deep seeded culture of misogyny. Although I'm not one of those people who believe that "Hip Hop is ruining the black race" or " It's the reason black women can't marry", I do believe that it creates a vaccum mentatlity that can be dismisive and destructive. There is no presence of a moral responsibility. Everything is about individual progression in many ways and if you are helping your friends, you are just helping them attain the same fake sense of manhood that you are trying to attain.

Everyone is paranoid that women are out to get them...and their money.
They think we are just here to "play a part". They aren't progressive thinkers in terms of how they view the roles of women(in my opinion). They'd rather have this modified housewife of the 50's who wears Loubou heels, remy hair, and has a sense of dependence on them as the "Man" or "provider"...Obiviously I don't agreeeeeeeeee.

But ALL of that can be thrown to the waist side...I've had that distain for Hip Hop, Rap and R&B since the tender age of 7...my recent recollection is in regards to D.A. Wallach in the "Play Your Part" video.

Is he out of place or what?
It's sorely obvious that he's not used to interacting with certain types of black women. It was noteable to me that he was placed with a thinner black woman, opposed to Rick Ross who was placed with the beans and rice girl with the big booty...perhaps a way to ease the black woman into mainstream consious. In videos like this, where there is a presence of a white guy in a group of black men(vise versa), the uses of more model-esque or bi/multi racial women are used as a tool for mainstream relateablity when it comes to viewing. The regular black woman isn't typically used.
Think:
Robin Thicke's videos
Justin Timberlake's "My Love" and really, every other video that he makes that is urban in nature.
Justin Bieber's video with the mixed girl from Beauty Shop
N.E.R.D's videos
---and many more if I really put some time into it.

Coinsidense? Absolutely not.
