This past Friday, Justin and I drove to Bastrop, TX to Covert Chevrolet. They had received a trade-in truck that was just was Justin was looking for. It's a very clean 2005 Chevy 1LS crew cab 4x4 diesel with about50K miles on it. It's also a dark charcoal grey, which fits in with the rest of our vehicles (the old Chevy is a lighter grey, and my Saturn Vue is "Storm Grey"). Also, it rained all day, just like it did the day I bought my Vue. Justin is thrilled with the new wheels. From Bastrop we drove to College Station to have dinner with Taylor, my older brother Brewer who happened to be in town from Vancouver, his girlfriend Sabrina, and my sister hung out with us for a little bit before she had other social outings to attend. We finally made it home late in the evening before Justin had to turn around and be at work at 6:00 on Saturday morning. We now look like a Chevy dealership at the house with the 2 trucks in the driveway (I park in the garage)!

Driving off the lot:
Happy Camper!

His Aunt Rebecca's borrowed Isuzu Rodeo is here before we went and got the truck back that had broken down the previous weekend. We ended up putting a new distributor in the truck and it runs great now!

So this past weekend Justin went to Nacogdoches to work on Grandma's house. I stayed home with the kids, lol. On Friday night, I went out with a couple of girls to dinner and a movie. We saw "The Invention of Lying" and I have to spread the word, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!! Horrible movie. I really wanted to walk out, and I have never walked out of a movie in my life. And both the other girls said the same thing when it was finally over. I feel jipped out of $9.50 and 2 hours of my life I can't get back. The good news is that on Saturday, Gelea, Moriah Smith, and I went and saw "Whip It", and it was super-cute! We were all cracking up in that one - suitable for just about all ages. I will definitely watch that one again in the future.

On Sunday, just as Justin and his dad are leaving Nacogdoches, our truck broke down. As Justin tells it, one second he's trying to pass someone and the next thing he knows, the truck is dead. After pulling over, he was able to re-start the truck but turned around and headed back to Grandma's. Luckily, he was able to drop it off at a shop and borrow his Aunt Rebecca's Isuzu Rodeo to come home. She leaves the vehicle there to use when she visits. So this week we are waiting on word to find out what is wrong with the truck (Justin suspects the coil, but he's not sure) and we will have to figure out when to return the Rodeo and get our truck back. Fun stuff.

In the meantime, we are looking for a new/used truck for Justin. He's been looking for a few months anyway, but now he is serious in his search. I hope we can find what he wants.
